This is usually seen in the patient history or initial assessment. A person with a drug allergy is not considered NKDA and would have their drug allergies listed in the medical records.
When a patient is listed as NKDA, it doesn't mean they can take drugs without worry of an allergic reaction. It means that the drugs that they've used in the past has not caused an allergic reaction. New drugs being prescribe may or may not cause a reaction. You should ask your physician about the side effects and adverse effects of drugs you've never taken before.
